2018 British Champions

On 22-24 June 18, Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Worcester was represented by two Espoirs (u12) groups in the British Championships at the Telford International Centre. Red, made up of Elodie McNelis, Georgia Smith, Eva Yordanov & Mia Harding wowed everybody in the sizeable audience with 4 fantastic routines taking the overall British Champions title and 2 silver medals in the apparatus finals with their free and ball routines. Purple, made up of Jess Bettles, Amber Whitaker, Scarlett Bunn & Lucy Jackman, in only their fourth competition as a group, finished a creditable 8th overall and 6th in the apparatus final with their free routine. Head Coach, Petra Milecova was overjoyed and stated that both groups had performed brilliantly at the top of their game, deserving all the success they both achieved. Next up for both groups are the remaining rounds of the Elite League and the English Championships in Bath in October.

Competition Update 2018

2018 competition season started in March and our first event was individual grades qualification. This was the first time the Elite gymnasts competed this year and all 4 Elodie, Mia, Eva and Georgia have qualified for Grades Finals in June. Jess whose first Level 3 event this was has done two clean routines. Well done.

In April our Red and Purple group competed in National Group Seeding event in Stoke. Both groups have done great clean routines and secured qualification for British Championships in June 2018 and Elite Group League. Perfect results for both groups.

Our Elite gymnasts Mia, Elodie, Georgia and Eva also trailed for English squad at the beginning of April at Lilleshall National Sport Centre and all four again secured a place in the squad for 2018/2019. Amazing results.

In May the competition season starts for our Level 1, 2 and 3 gymnasts as they all compete in Birmingham on Sunday 13th May. We wish them good luck.

On 15th October we travelled to Stoke to compete in the 2nd round of the British Elite Group League.
